posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Theatrical unit Spiral Chariots announced on July 5 that it is producing a stage play adaptation of Sega's Golden Axe arcade game. The play will run from December 19-23 at Buddhist Hall in Tokyo. Seiji Hattori is directing the play.
The play will star Kunta, Haruka Kohara, Shōta Minami, Seiji Hattori, Dai Nakane, Shōta Yamada, Takuma Endō, Mahiru Komatsuzaki, and Chizu Hanasaki.
The play is Spiral Chariots' second stage adaptation of a Sega game, following its adaptation of Sega's Rent a Hero game that debuted in January.
Sega debuted the first game in the Golden Axe series in 1989. The game allows up to two players to control one of three playable characters, each with different abilities, in a journey to defeat the dark lord Death Adder.
