My Hero Academia Anime Casts Hiro Shimono, Misato Fukuen

Shimono plays Dabi, Fukuen plays Himiko Toga in final episode of anime

The official website for the My Hero Academia television anime series revealed two new cast members for the second season on Saturday. The characters will appear in the anime's 25th and final episode, titled "Encounter," on September 30. The 24th episode that aired on Saturday also previewed the two characters.

The new cast members include:

Hiro Shimono as Dabi, a hopeful successor to the Hero Killer who joins the League of Villains. His Quirk remains a mystery.


Misato Fukuen as Himiko Toga, a suspect wanted for connection to a certain incident, currently at large. She admires Stain, and joins the League of Villains.


The anime had also recently cast Takuma Nagatsuka as 1-A student Kōji Kōda for the new season's 23rd episode last Saturday. The character had appeared in the series before but didn't speak until last Saturday's episode.

The second season premiered in Japanese with English subtitles on Crunchyroll and Hulu on April 1, and FunimationNow is streaming the English dub. The first cour of the anime covered the U.A. Sports Festival arc of Kōhei Horikoshi's original manga.

The second cour of the anime premiered on July 8, and has so far covered the "Hero Killer Stain" arc and the "Final Exams" arc. amazarashi is performing the new opening theme song "Sora ni Utaeba" (If I Sing in the Sky), and LiSA is performing the ending theme song "Datte Atashino! Hero" (Still My Hero).
