Bleach, Naruto Shippūden Band Ikimono-gakari Goes on Temporary Hiatus
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The three-member band Ikimono-gakari announced on their website on Thursday that they are taking a temporary hiatus so the members can freely pursue their own activities. The band added that they were taking this step in order to "try doing things [they] want to do," to "try doing new things," to "try doing things slowly," and "try setting out on a journey to go to the places [they] want to go." The band added that the step was also "in order to continue... [their] story as a three-person group."
The band's staff additionally confirmed that the hiatus will be a temporary one, and stated that the hiatus will allow the members to grow their potential at their own pace.
Ikimono-gakari celebrated their 10th anniversary last year, and released a greatest hits album in commemoration. The band have performed theme songs for anime such as Naruto Shippūden, The Seven Deadly Sins, Bleach, Big Windup!, Ghost Slayers Ayashi, Detective Conan: The Eleventh Striker, and Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened. Additionally, the band performed the theme song for the live-action Ao Haru Ride (Blue Spring Ride) film.
