DAYS Soccer Anime Casts Takayuki Kondou, Shunya Hiruma

The official website for the anime adaptation of Tsuyoshi Yasuda's DAYS soccer manga revealed two new cast members on Sunday.

Shunya Hiruma as Takafumi Kai
Both characters are members of the Keiō Kawahara High School soccer club. Yuji is the team captain and a forward who has a unique rhythm and often takes unexpected actions. Kai is also a forward who started the Keiō soccer club with Yuji.
DAYS will host a Christmas-themed event on December 3 in Tokyo.
The anime premiered on July 2, and it will have 24 episodes. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan. Ponycan USA plans to release the series in the U.S.
The story centers on two boys who were never meant to meet: Tsukushi Tsukamoto, who has no special skills but secretly hides a passionate heart, and Jin Kazama, an isolated soccer genius. On a stormy night, the two meet, and that meeting creates a whirlwind in the world of high school soccer.
