Mitsudomoe Voice Actress Momoko Ohara Leaves Acting
posted on by Karen Ressler
Voice actress Momoko Ohara announced on her personal blog on Monday that she is leaving her agency Mausu Promotion and retiring from acting. She clarified that she is not leaving because she has come to dislike acting -- rather, she has an interest in other jobs and wants to do something different.
Ohara commented that her 10 years in acting have passed in the blink of an eye, and all her experiences were valuable. She mentioned that she loves the characters she has played and is proud of them, as if they were her children.
She plans to delete her blog and Twitter account at the end of the year.
Ohara's anime roles include Miyashita in Mitsudomoe, Makoto Kōsaka in Genshiken: Second Generation, Yū and Minami-ke, and Kakeru Ryūgasaki in B-Daman CrossFire. She also voiced Sully and Naga in Fire Emblem: Awakening.
