Sentai Filmworks Adds Bodacious Space Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace Anime Film

Section23 Films announced in its June 2016 release slate on Wednesday that Sentai Filmworks will release the Bodacious Space Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace (Mōretsu Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace -Akū no Shien-) anime film on Blu-ray and DVD on June 14. Like the company's release of the television anime, the film's release will have an English dub.
Bodacious Space Pirates, the television anime adaptation of Yuichi Sasamoto's Mini-Skirt Uchū Kaizoku (Mini-Skirt [Space] Pirates) space-opera novels, debuted in Japan in 2012. Crunchyroll streamed the series outside of Japan as it aired, and Sentai Filmworks has released the anime on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in North America. Bodacious Space Pirates The Movie: Abyss of Hyperspace opened in theaters in Japan on February 22, 2014.
Seven Seas Entertainment released the film's manga adaptation in North America.
