posted on by Karen Ressler
The Nihon Unko Gakkai (Japan Poop Society) appeared at Digital Game Expo 2014 in Akiba Square on Saturday with a demo of its new smartphone card game featuring anthropomorphized E. coli and antibacterial drugs. The game is titled UnColle (Poop Collection) in a reference to DMM and Kadokawa Games' Kan Colle (Fleet Collection) smartphone card game that anthropomorphizes Japanese World War II warships.
The cast of bishōjo includes, from left to right in the top part of the above image: François Fontanne (an unspecified bacterium or drug), Emily Burn (Nitrosomonas europaea), and Alice (Bifidobacterium animalis).
Nihon Unko Gakkai is a volunteer-run organization that promotes medical screenings for the early detection colorectal cancer.
