Mario Kart 8 Sells Over 1.2 Million During 1st Weekend

Racing franchise has sold 100.13 million copies since its debut
Nintendo announced that the Mario Kart 8 Wii U game sold over 1.2 million copies during its opening weekend. The game went on sale on May 30 in Japan, North America, and Europe.
Additionally, Nintendo released sales figures for all of its Mario Kart games dating back to the Super Nintendo.
