Senran Kagura 2 Opening Video Streamed

Famitsu began streaming the opening video for the Senran Kagura 2 -Shinku- Nintendo 3DS video game on Tuesday. The video features the song “Hikari to Yami no Kanata” (Beyond Light & Dark) by Kokuritsu Hanzo Gakuen (Private Hanzo Academy), a group featuring members Hitomi Harada, Asami Imai, Yū Kobayashi, Kaori Mizuhashi, and Yuka Iguchi.
Senran Kagura 2's “Nyū-Nyū DX Pack” limited edition set will contain the game itself, an art box, a 5-piece mini figure set featuring the members of the Homura Guren squad members, an original drama CD, and a CD containing arranged original soundtrack music and the opening theme song's solo versions. Those who pre-order early will receive an original soundtrack for the game, as well as separate discs for Senran Kagura -Shōjo-tachi no Shin'ei- and Senran Kagura Burst -Guren no Shōjo-tachi-. If a player has save data from the game Senran Kagura Burst, they will be able to play as Murasame. The limited edition set is being priced at 10,810 yen (about US$108), while the normal version of the game will retail for 6,480 yen (about US$65).
The game will go on sale on August 7. Marvelous AQL released the Deka Mori Senran Kagura 3DS cooking game on March 20. XSEED Games released the first Senran Kagura video game in North America last year. The franchise inspired a television anime series last year that Funimation streamed as it aired.
