posted on by Egan Loo
The official website for the Nisekoi television anime began streaming a new promotional video on Sunday. The video features the new opening theme song "Step" and the new character Marika Tachibana played by Kana Asumi.
The singing duo ClariS is also performing the new opening theme song after performing the first opening, "Click." The CD single for "Step" will go on sale on April 16 in three editions. The limited-time anime edition will cost 1,250 yen (about US$12), while the limited first pressing will bundle a DVD for 1,500 yen (about US$15). The regular edition will cost 1,165 yen (US$11).
Naoshi Komi's original manga and the subsequent television anime begin with Raku Ichijō (Kōki Uchiyama), a normal high school student who happens to be the heir to a yakuza group. The attractive but violent transfer student Chitoge Kirisaki (Nao Tōyama), the heir to a rival yakuza group, transfers to his class, and the two must pretend to date to keep a war from breaking out between their families.
Viz Media is releasing the original manga digitally and in print. Aniplex of America plans to release the series on home video, and Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan.
