posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Heisei Riders win over Showa Riders by only 760 votes out of 2.77 million cast

The final votes were counted to decide the Heisei Rider vs. Showa Rider: Kamen Rider War feat. Super Sentai film's ending. A total of 2,773,322 votes were cast in the online and theater polls. In the end, the Heisei Riders won by 760 votes — a mere 0.027% margin. Heisei Riders earned a total of 1,387,041 votes while the Showa Riders received 1,386,281 votes.

The film features the return of Takeshi Hongo as the original Kamen Rider 1, as well as Kouta Kazuraba (Kamen Rider Gaim), Tsukasa Kadoya (Decade), Takumi Inui (Faiz), Shotaro Hidari (Joker), Haruto Souma (Wizard), and Kaito Kumon (Baron). Voice actors Kenichi Suzumura and Hiroshi Kamiya guest star in the film.

The film features a total of 30 Riders, including 15 Showa-era Riders led by Kamen Rider 1 and 15 Heisei-era Riders such as those from the ongoing Kamen Rider Gaim television series. The late manga pioneer Shōtarō Ishinomori created or co-created Kamen Rider, Himitsu Sentai Go-Ranger (the first Super Sentai/Ranger series), Jinzou Ningen Kikaida, Cyborg 009, and dozens of other projects.

In this film, Fujioka transforms into Kamen Rider 1 for the first time in 38 years.

The film opened in Japan on Saturday. The ending credits revealed that the Ressha Sentai TōQGer and Kamen Rider Gaim casts will star in a double feature film this summer.
