Xbox 360/PS3/PC game to ship on March 18 in N. America, March 21 in Europe

Tecmo KOEI began streaming an 18-minute gameplay video on Thursday for its upcoming Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z video game for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. In the video, tarot card fortune-teller Nagisa, former member of Hudson Soft Meijin Takahashi, and Team Ninja producer Yosuke Hayashi speak about the game as Nagisa plays. Hayashi guides the fortune-teller by explaining the controls and system.

In addition, Hayashi mentions that Kenji Inafune said he wanted to make a game where zombies and ninjas crossed paths, and make the zombies not just a scary existence, but also a strange and funny one.

Keiji Inafune's comcept and Team Ninja (Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive series) are collaborating with Spark Unlimited on Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z. The game will star a new ninja named Yaiba, who is chasing after Ryu Hayabusa, the protagonist of the Ninja Gaiden video game. Hayabusa had killed Yaiba, but then Yaiba was brought back to life with cyber-technology as a cyborg ninja. He uses both a ninja sword and mecha weapons in his cyborg arm.

The game will be released in North America on March 18. Recently, the Japanese release date has been pushed back from March 6 to March 27. Italy, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Australia will receive the game on March 21, and France will receive the game one day earlier.
