Kids on the Slope's Kodama Draws 'Underground' Manga One-Shot

The Spring issue of Shogakukan's Zōkan Flowers magazine announced that manga creator Yuki Kodama (Kids on the Slope) will publish a one-shot manga called "Underground" in the next issue on May 14. In the story, a woman feels depressed just after entering college. She finds herself unexpectedly lost, and ends up standing alone in a mysterious world.
Kodama's award-winning Sakamichi no Apollon (Kids on the Slope) manga ended in 2012, although it spawned a five-chapter spinoff called Sakamichi no Apollon: Bonus Track. The manga inspired a television anime series on Fuji TV's late-night Noitamina programming block, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime into several countries as it aired in Japan.
Kodama launched an omnibus manga series called Tsukikage Baby in 2012. She also published her one-shot story "Hōsekibako no Ningyo" (Mermaid of the Jewel Box) on Shogakukan's Yawaraka Spirits website last year.
