Funimation Licenses Season 6 of One Piece TV Anime

North American anime distributor Funimation announced on Friday that it has acquired home Entertainment Rights for the sixth season of the One Piece television anime series. The sixth season will include episodes 337–384, which spans the Thriller Bark arc. One Piece Season Six will be released in four parts in 2014. The first volume, which will feature episodes 337–348, is slated to ship on May 13.
Funimation also announced that One Piece Collection 9 is slated to ship on April 15. The compilation will include episodes 206–229 and retail for US$34.98.
Funimation added One Piece Film Strong World and the fifth television anime season, which comprises episodes 264–336, in 2012. The company released One Piece Film Strong World, the 10th anime film based on Eiichiro Oda's One Piece pirate manga, on November 19. One Piece Season Five, Voyage 5 shipped on Tuesday.
