Prince of Tennis' Konomi to Return to Shonen Jump Magazine

Manga creator Takeshi Konomi reported on Wednesday that he will return to Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine this year. Konomi's last published work in the magazine was two chapters of the three-chapter mini-series Moon Walker LTD in 2010 and 2013. He serialized his best-known manga, The Prince of Tennis, in the same magazine from 1999 to 2008.
Konomi currently serializes New Prince of Tennis in Shueisha's Jump SQ. magazine and the Lady Cool manga (pictured right) on Shueisha's Jump Live d website. He noted that Lady Cool's first compiled book volume is on sale now, while the 12th volume from New Prince of Tennis will go on sale in March.
Viz Media published the 42nd and final volume of The Prince of Tennis in North America in 2011. Prince of Tennis and New Prince of Tennis inspired several original video anime (including a new project), two anime television series, three anime movies, a live-action film, and a series of musicals.
