This year's combined 3rd/4th issue of Shueisha's Margaret magazine announced on Saturday that Osamu Akimoto will publish a one-shot in the next issue on February 5. Titled "Vocalo," the "future story" takes place 50 years after the rise of Vocaloid culture. During that time, what does a boy dream about?
Margaret itself celebrated its 50th anniversary last year.
Osamu Akimoto's long-running police comedy manga Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo ("Kochikame") has run in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump since 1976. The series has over 175 volumes and has been adapted into live-action films, a television drama, and multiple anime titles. The main character most recently appeared in the Namco Bandai Games' J-Stars Victory Vs. "team battle action" video game.
