Creator Masami Kurumada: "The Seiya legend began here"
A "teaser image" was hosted at an unlinked URL on the "saintseiya2014.com" domain that Toei registered on August 29. The image (which is no longer public) has the following quote from Saint Seiya manga and anime creator Masami Kurumada: "The Seiya legend began here."
Toei announced a CG Saint Seiya film last year. It is slated to open in theaters in Japan in 2014.
The company opened the "ss-countdown.com" website last week. The website is counting down to Tuesday, October 29. The countdown image displays 12 circular spaces with symbols inside.
