Hajime no Ippo Rising TV Anime's Cast, Staff Announced

The 39th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine is announcing the cast and staff for the upcoming Hajime no Ippo Rising anime on Wednesday.
- Rikiya Koyama as Mamoru Takamura
- Daisuke Namikawa as Manabu Itagaki
- Keiji Fujiwara as Tatsuya Kimura
- Kohei Kiyasu as Ippo Makunouchi
- Wataru Takagi as Masaru Aoki
Jun Shishido (Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger, The Princess and the Pilot) will direct the anime at Madhouse and MAPPA from scripts by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes). Kōji Sugiura (Hajime no Ippo, Mobile Suit SD Gundam Festival) will be designing the characters, and Masafumi Mima (Hajime no Ippo - Champion Road, Guilty Crown) will take the position of sound director.
George Morikawa's original long-running manga has spawned two television anime series, an original video anime project, and a TV special. Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger, the second season of the anime, aired in 2009. NTV will stream both series for free in Japan from August 3 until September. Hajime no Ippo Rising will premiere this fall.
