D.C.'s Anime USA to Host GAINAX Co-Founder Hiroaki Inoue

The organizers of the Anime USA convention announced on Friday that GAINAX co-founder and anime producer Hiroaki Inoue will attend the September 13-15 event in Washington, D.C. Hiroaki helped found the anime studio GAINAX after previously working at Tezuka Productions and Magic Bus. After working at GAINAX, he spent time at AIC before founding his own production company, Oniro.
Inoue has been in the anime business for over three decades. His works include Astro Boy, Lensman, Wings of Honneamise, Memories, Perfect Blue, Armitage III, Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, El Hazard: The Alternative World, Now and Then, Here and There and the Tenchi Muyo! franchise.
Previously announced Anime USA guests include voice actors Kari Wahlgren, Troy Baker, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, Mike McFarland, and Christopher Smith and rock band Back-On (Air Gear, Eyeshield 21, Murder Princess, Rookies).
