2nd Tamayura Season's Ad Promises to Be 'More Aggressive'
posted on by Egan Loo
TV Kanagawa began airing a new commercial for Tamayura - More Aggressive, the second season in the Tamayura "healing" anime. The ad features the opening theme "Hajimari no Umi" by returning singer Maaya Sakamoto.
The main lead Fu Sawatari (as voiced by Ayana Taketatsu) notes that it has been one year since she had moved to her late father's hometown, and she vows to be "more aggressive" in her second year in high school.
In the new season, Fu surprises the other returning characters with her plan to form a photography club. She has trouble recruiting members from the incoming students, but then she encounters a girl named Kanae Mitani (pictured right, voiced by Ai Kayano). Like Fu, her hobby is photography, and she uses the Pentax Q camera. She tends to overthink things and ends up unable to take action.
Creator and director Junichi Satō said that he intends to continue from where the first season left off, with characters unchanged from before. Fu will still have her father's camera in hand and her friends by her side as she takes new steps, make new memories, and take on new challenges "more aggressively."
The new season will premiere on July 3 on the AT-X channel at 9:30 p.m. before airing on Tokyo MX TV, TV Aichi, NHK Hiroshima, TV Kanagawa, Sun TV, and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (It will air on TV Kanagawa on July 7.) The original Tamayura - Hitotose anime aired in Japan in 2011.
