Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Tuesday that it will stream Madhouse's television anime adaptation of Kadokawa Games, Enterbrain, and Dingo's Photo Kano PSP dating simulation game. Crunchyroll will stream the series on Thursdays starting on April 11 at 1:00 p.m. for both premium and free members in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Sentai Filmworks announced last week that it is releasing the series digitally, and then on home video in 2014.
Akitoshi Yokoyama (Marimo no Hana: Saikyō Butō-ha Shōgakusei Densetsu) is directing and supervising the series scripts, and Mae Shimada (key animator for Gosick, Bleach) is designing the characters and serving as chief animation director. Mina Kubota (Kaleido Star, A Letter to Momo) is handling the show's music. hayatokaori performs the opening theme song "Koisuru Lens" (Lens of Love).
In the game, the player is an ordinary second-year high school student named Kazuya Maeda (played by Nobunaga Shimazaki) who gets a single-lens reflex camera at the end of summer vacation. He begins taking pictures of the girls at his school, and the photos may lead to romance. The show also stars Akiko Hasegawa, Asuka Ōgame, Aya Endō, Ayahi Takagaki, and Chiwa Saitō.
The anime series premiered in Japan on April 4.
