posted on by Egan Loo
The official website for Gekijōban Gintama Kanketsu-hen: Yorozuya yo Eien Nare (Final Gintama: The Movie: Be Forever Yorozuya), the second Gintama feature film, began streaming the teaser trailer in 30- and 15-second lengths on Monday.
The teaser notes that the film will have an all-new "final" story written by original manga creator Hideaki Sorachi. The teaser also shows two versions of the main character Gintoki Sakata — one from the present and one from the past.
The film will open in Japan on July 6. (The Aikatsu! anime will take over the Gintama' television anime series' time slot starting on April 4.) Theaters will begin selling the first batch of advance passes with a bonus clear file on Saturday. The second batches of passes will go on sale in June in pairs with matching designs.
Update: Yōichi Fujita and Shinji Takamatsu are serving as director and supervisor, as they do on the current television series. Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki Sakata), Daisuke Sakaguchi (Shinpachi Shimura), and Rie Kugimiya (Kagura) are also returning for the film.
