One fan was injured due to a lighting fixture falling during the Sunday concert of Japanese voice actress Haruka Tomatsu (Zettai Karen Children's Shiho, Magi's Morgianna) at the Tokyo International Forum. The forum's official site reported the details of the accident on Monday.
At around 6:36 p.m. that evening, a single light fixture weighing 18.5 kilogram (about 40.7 pounds) fell from a distance of 9.5 meters (about 31 feet) from the second-floor's front balcony lights, hitting a fan's shoulder and injuring him. The fan fortunately only received light injuries, and has returned to his job as normal. The event was not postponed when the fan was injured, and continued without a pause.
The staff of the hall apologized, saying, “We give our deepest apologies to the injured customer, and also pray for his swift recovery.” They added, “We take this incident extremely seriously, and will put the safety of the facility in the highest priority as we follow up on this.”
