Suzuka's Seo to Launch Half & Half Romantic Comedy Manga
posted on by Egan Loo
The September issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine announced on Thursday that manga creator Kouji Seo will launch a new series called Half & Half in the next issue on September 8. The romantic comedy will revolve around a boy and girl who have to live together.
Seo once created a one-shot manga called Half & Half in Kodansha's Magazine Fresh in 1996, but that one-shot was not a romantic comedy. He also created the Suzuka romantic comedy manga that Del Rey published in North America. Hiroshi Fukutomi and Studio Comet animated Suzuka in a 2005 television anime series. Another Seo romantic comedy series, Kimi no Iru Machi (A Town Where You Live), was bundled with two original anime DVDs.
Atsunori Horiuchi will start the dark fantasy manga series Baby World End (pictured above right) in the same magazine next month as well.

Update: Like the one-shot manga, the new series will center around Shinichi Nagakawa and Yūki Sanada, two students "killed" at the prime of their lives. At the door to heaven, the two must spend seven days together and then decide which one — and only one — will get to live again. Thanks, Manga News.
