Siren Visual Entertainment announced on its website its latest acquisitions are Aria the Animation and the 2008 Golgo 13 television series.
Aria the Animation is a science fiction series set in a terraformed Mars resembling the canals of Venice, following the everyday life of a gondolier-in-training. All thirteen episodes will be released as a complete DVD set in April, now available for pre-order.
Golgo 13, starring the iconic sniper Duke Torgo, is adapted from the long-running gekiga manga currently featured in Jason Thompson's House of 1000 Manga column. Siren Visual will release Part 1, containing thirteen episodes, in May and Part 2 shortly thereafter. Part 1 is now available for pre-order.
Siren Visual also announced that the Part 1 of Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai, the sequel to horror series Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, is available for pre-order, with the release date set as May 17, 2012. Siren Visual's subtitle-only release will be the series' first English version.
