Scotland Loves Anime Suggests Cinema Premiere on Same Day as Japan
posted on by Andrew Osmond
The Scotland Loves Anime organisers asked on the event's facebook page: "If we were to do a launch of our programme in September along with a theatrical screening of a film the same day it came out in Japan...would you be interested in attending?"
In the subsequent comments, the organisers added, "We're just floating the idea at this point but the option is on the table with a specific title. There are a limited number of September theatrical releases in Japan though..."
It was also specified that the screening, if it goes ahead, would not be of Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. "We have no insider gossip on that barring as everyone knows it's coming late this year...we do have our eyes on it though."
It was previously announced that Scotland Loves Anime event would return in October 2012. In the last two years, the event has taken place at both Glasgow and Edinburgh, and included several EU or U.K. premieres of anime titles, including Colorful, A Letter to Momo and The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.
