posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The Japanese production company Media Factory began streaming a 133-second and a 177-second promotional video for the television anime adaptation of Ichiei Ishibumi's High School DxD light novel series on Tuesday. The first video features the same content as an earlier video but includes new effects. The second video introduces the female members of the story's high school Occult Research Club.
High School DxD's story follows Issei Hyōdō, a dim-witted, lecherous second-year high school student who is killed by a girl on his first date ever. Issei (Yūki Kaji) is reincarnated as a devil, and from that day forward, he serves as an underling of Riasu (Yōko Hikasa), a high-level devil who is also the prettiest girl on Issei's campus.
Tetsuya Yanagisawa is directing at the anime studio TNK with script writer Takao Yoshioka and character designer Junji Gotō. The six monthly Blu-ray Disc/DVD volumes for the High School DxD television anime series will ship between March 21 and August 22 of next year, and each volume will have an original video.
The anime will premiere in Japan on January 6.
