Milky Holmes, Queen's Blade Sequel Manga Launch
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The December issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Comp Ace magazine began serializing a sequel of the Tantei Milky Holmes (Detective Milky Holmes) manga and a new Queen's Blade spinoff manga on Wednesday. With planning by Bushiroad, Monta Tokita is writing the Tantei Milky Holmes 2 comedy manga. Sorahiro Mizushima illustrated the first Tantei Milky Holmes manga, which serialized in Monthly Comp Ace from May 2010 to January of this year.
Iku Nanzaki, artist of the Queen's Blade: Hide & Seek manga, is drawing the Queen's Blade: Rebellion manga based on Hobby Japan's Queen's Blade fantasy game book franchise. Last Saturday, the December issue of Monthly Hobby Japan magazine announced that a television anime adaptation of the Queen's Blade: Rebellion storyline had been green-lit.
The current issue of Monthly Comp Ace also includes Junka Morozumi's spinoff manga Ōgon Musōkyoku based on Seventh Expansion's Umineko no Naku Koro ni original dōjin (self-published) murder mystery software. The first Ōgon Musōkyoku spinoff game put the characters of Umineko no Naku Koro ni in a fighting game setting. The tentatively titled sequel game Ōgon Musōkyoku 2 was green-lit in March.
