Kunio Okawara Hints at March UC Gundam Announcement

Kunio Okawara, the mechanical designer of many Gundam projects including the first television anime series, posted on his Twitter account on November 30 that he was working on two items which he cannot discuss due to confidentiality until next spring. When the user "metron_seijin" expressed patient anticipation for the items, Okawara responded that there "might be good news for Gundam fans."
When another user, "yachitoka," expressed confusion at Okawara's response, Okawara repeated that he was under confidentiality, but asked fans to wait until next March.
On December 4, "carlosrod84" asked Okawara in English, "Any news about Gundam?" — to which, Okawara reiterated (in Japanese), "Some enjoyable news will be announced around March of 2011."
On Monday, "zeonicscans" pressed Okawara for more details, specifically if the hypothetical Gundam item is in the Universal Century timeline (of the first Gundam), in the Future Century timeline (of G Gundam), or a new Gundam. Okawara replied, "I'm sorry. I'm under confidentiality…. Universal Century?"
In his posts, Okawara did not specify the form or format that these items will take.
