PMX to Host Excel Saga's Shinichi 'Nabeshin' Watanabe

Pacific Media Expo announced that fan-favorite anime director Shinichi Watanabe will appear at the November 6-8 event in Los Angeles. Watanabe, or "Nabeshin," is best known for directing Excel Saga, Puni Puni Poemy, The Wallflower, Tenchi Muyo GXP, Nerima Daikon Brothers, and other anime series. He also voiced an exaggerated version of himself in these same anime works, as well as other titles in which he made contributions such as Hayate the Combat Butler. Like the real Nabeshin, the fictional Nabeshin sports a huge afro and his trademark red blazer.
This year's guests at Pacfic Media Expo include the fashion designer Gashikon of Hangry & Angry, the visual-kei rock band UchuSentai NOIZ, fashion designers Maki and Asuka of Angelic Pretty, and fashion designer Takuya Sawada of Takuya Angel.
