Oishinbo Manga Creator Tetsuya Totsuka Interviewed

The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper has posted an article with an interview with Tetsuya Totsuka a.k.a. Tetsu Kariya, the creator of the Oishinbo cuisine manga which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Kariya describes how he started in the manga business after planning to be a nuclear physicist. He also discusses life in Sydney, his adopted hometown for the past 20 years — especially now that there are English Oishinbo translations that have finally allowed his Australian friends to understand what his life work is all about. Viz Media publishes the manga in English.
