Diabolo, Ogre Slayer's Kusunoki Launches Kami-Gakari Manga
posted on by Egan Loo
Kei Kusunoki (a.k.a. Diabolo, Ogre Slayer, and Sengoku Nights creator Mayumi Ohashi) has launched her Happyakuman Tōshinden Kami-Gakari manga in the August issue of Shogakukan's Monthly Sunday GX magazine on Saturday. The picaresque action comedy is set in Japan's Sengoku Jidai (Age of the Warring States), when various evil and mischievous deities roamed the land. A "100% self-serving, sadistic" priestess named Soraya and her companion fox spirit Tamamo hunt down the misbehaving deities. Tokyopop published Diabolo, Sengoku Nights, and other works by Kusunoki except for Ogre Slayer, which Viz Media released.
Takeshi Wakasa (Love-Letter) is launching a new manga called Kamen Bowler (Masked Bowler) in the magazine's September issue on August 19.
