Studio Ghibli Finishes Drawings for New Museum Short
posted on by Egan Loo
Unnamed short still needs coloring, photography, soundtrack work
The staffers of Studio Ghibli have revealed in a Thursday blog entry that they completed the animation drawings on a new Ghibli Museum short on that day. The director, key animators, and in-between animators actually finished their work one day ahead of schedule. However, the project still needs to be colored, photographed, and set to a soundtrack. The studio has not yet announced the title of the new short.
Between 2001 and 2006, Studio Ghibli animated six earlier museum shorts: Kujiratori, Koro no Daisanpo, Mei to Konekobasu, Mizugumo Monmon, Hoshi wo Katta Hi, and Yadosagashi. The studio's latest feature film, Ponyo, will open in North America on August 14.
