Life-Size Gundam Statue's Special Effects on Video

Video demonstrates mist-emitting devices, sound effects, head movements

Not-So-Daily Link of the Day: A visitor has posted a YouTube video showing some of the final touches on the 18-meter-tall (59-foot-tall), "life-size" statue of the Gundam anime robot at Tokyo's artificial Odaiba island. The video demonstrates the mist-emitting devices, the sound effects, and the movements of the head unit. The statue, which will be officially on display from July to August, marks the 30th anniversary of the first anime series in the Mobile Suit Gundam space war anime franchise.
