Otogimoyou Ayanishiki Fantasy Manga to Relaunch in June
posted on by Egan Loo
The June issue of Hakusensha's Melody magazine will announce on Tuesday that Kyouko Hikawa is launching her Otogimoyou Ayanishiki Futatabi (Otogimoyou Ayanishiki Again) supernatural manga in the next issue on June 27. As the title suggests, this story is a continuation of Hikawa's 2005-2008 Otogimoyou Ayanishiki manga. In the first manga, Suzu is a lonely orphan who has a father figure named Shinkurō protecting her against spirits. The magazine promises the return of Suzu and Shinkurō after the battle that ended the first series and a new disturbance, possibly by spirits, in the city of Kyoto.
Viz published one of Hikawa's earlier manga, From Far Away (Kanata Kara), in North America from 2004 to 2007. The first Otogimoyou Ayanishiki manga ended in the fifth volume, which reached #8 on the weekly manga charts last month.
