Nippon Animation to work on French books about daily lives of 5-year-old girl, dog
The Nippon Animation Studio has announced that it is adapting Jean-Philippe Arrou-Vignod and Olivier Tallec's Rita et Machin picture book series into anime. The books follow the happy daily lives of a precocious five-year-old girl named Rita and an easy-going yet somewhat lazy dog named Machin.
10 Rita Machin books has been published in their native France since April 2006, but the first one will debut in Japan this spring, as well as character goods and other merchandising.
