Anime Boston Hosts Musicians Kalafina, Yuki Kajiura
posted on by Egan Loo
The Anime Boston convention announced on Wednesday that it is hosting the Japanese singing trio Kalafina and producer/composer Yuki Kajiura at the May 22-24 event in Massachusetts. Kalafina's Wakana, Keiko, and Hikaru debuted just last year with "oblivious," the first of seven ending theme songs for the Kara no Kyōkai - the Garden of sinners anime films. Not coincidentally, the Aniplex production company is holding the American premiere of the fifth Kara no Kyoukai film, Paradox Paradigm, at Anime Boston. Kalafina also sang "Lacrimosa," the second ending theme for the Kuroshitsuji anime series. Kajiura, a veteran composer of such anime as Noir, .hack//SIGN, and Tsubasa Chronicle, put together the Kalafina group and writes the music.
Anime Boston is also hosting the Japanese cyberpunk techno artists BESPA KUMAMERO, along with several voice actors, industry figures, and artists.
