Japanese Anime TV Ranking, December 15-21

The Mainichi Shimbun paper reports that the average rating of Nodame Cantabile: Paris, the anime sequel based on Tomoko Ninomiya manga, was 4.6%. That makes it the second highest rated anime to have ever run in Fuji TV's Noitamina late-night timeslot. It topped the first Nodame Cantabile anime series (4.4%) from 2006. Only Hakaba Kitarō, this year's anime based on Shigeru Mizuki's prototype for his Gegege no Kitarō horror manga, posted a higher average rating at 4.8%. The ninth episode of Nodame Cantabile: Paris was the highest rated single epsiode for any late-night anime at 6.6%; that tops Hakaba Kitarō's highest rated episode (#11's 5.8 on March 13).
The live-action television drama version of Ryō Ryūmon and Kōji Megumi's Bloody Monday suspense manga ended on December 20 at 19:56. It earned a 13.2 rating on its last outing and has been boosting the sales of the original manga throughout its entire run.
