After it entered the
USA Today newspaper's
list of the top 150 bestselling books at #59 the previous week, sales of the latest volume of
Natsuki Takaya's
Fruits Basket (
Tokyopop) have decreased significantly during November 17-23. Volume 21 was still a bestseller, but dropped a full 60 spots in the standings to rank at #119. For the same week, volume 32 of
Masashi Kishimoto's
Naruto (
Viz Media) saw a sales drop as well, but it was less steep. Last week, it trailed the latest
Fruits Basket volume and held the #67 spot, but, it was actually ahead of
Fruits Basket, at #111, in the newest chart. Once again, the two books were the only manga on the list.
Naruto's next volume is set to be published on December 23.
Fruits Basket's next volume, on the other hand, will not be out until March.
