Hosoda's award-winning film opens on Seattle on Friday, later in NYC, LA

Kadokawa Pictures have
announced that
Mamoru Hosoda's award-winning
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time film will play at Durham, North Carolina on October 6 and at Phoenixville, Pennsylvania (near Philadelphia) on November 24, 26, 28, and 29. Both cities will have the Japanese version of the film with English subtitles. It is also
opening at Seattle on Friday for a run that lasts until September 4. The film updates
Yasutaka Tsutsui's classic children's novel about a girl who discovers an ability to jump back in time — and the caveats that come with using this power. The film is
screening later in September in New York
and San Francisco.
