Japanese Anime TV Ranking, August 4–10

The live-action film adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's Dororo samurai manga was by far the highest rated anime- or manga-related showing of the week when it ran on August 4 at 21:00 with a 15.6 rating. The second live-action film based on Shuho Sato's Umizaru manga, Limit of Love, aired as the Saturday Premium showing on August 9 at 21:00 for a 13.8 rating. The first Naruto Shippūden film based on Masashi Kishimoto's manga ran on August 9 at 12:30 with a 2.3 rating; the Naruto Shippūden: Kizuna film opened in Japanese theaters on August 2. Mamoru Oshii's Mobile Police Patlabor 2 the Movie was broadcasted on August 6 at 2:14 a.m. for a 1.9 rating. The combined Kamen Rider Blade/Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger movie aired on August 8 at 3:30 a.m. with a 1.3 rating.
The live-action television version (pictured at right) of Yuma Ando and Masashi Asaki's Shibatora police manga earned a 11.7 rating with its 21:00 showing on August 5.
