English Write-Up of Gainax Co-Founder Okada's Talk

The Otaku2 website has posted a partial English transcription of a talk given by Toshio Okada, a co-founder of the anime studio Gainax and a lecturer at the Osaka Institute of the Arts, in Tokyo's Shinjuku ward this month. Okada describes his current activities in "otaku studies" inside and outside the academic circles. He also discusses the similarities of this month's Akihabara killings to other incidents and the impact it will have on the otaku of Japan.
