Kawashima's Alive Manga Gets TV Anime

Supernatural, post-pandemic tale published by Del Rey in North America
The official Japanese website of Monthly Shonen Magazine has confirmed that Tadashi Kawashima and Adachitoka's Alive - Saishū Shinka teki Shōnen supernatural adventure manga will be animated for television. The story follows a Tokyo high school boy named Taisuke Kanō after a virus causes entire cities to commit suicide across the world. However, Kanō and his friends not only survive the virus, but have evolved, as a species, into something darker.
More details about the anime will be announced in the magazine and on the homepage. The manga began serialization in 2003, and the 15th volume just shipped in Japan on Tuesday. Del Rey will publish the fifth volume of the manga in North America this month.
