Tsukiji Uogashi Sandaime is only manga/anime-related movie in top 10
Shingo Matsubara's live-action adaptatation of Masaharu Nabeshima and Mitsuo Hashimoto's Tsukiji Uogashi Sandaime manga opens as the only manga- or anime-related film at the Japanese box office during the June 2–8 weekend. The original cuisine manga tells the story of Shuntarō Akagi, a former bank office worker whose life is transformed one day. He inherits a third-generation fishmonger business at Tokyo's famed Tsukiji Fish Market from his wife's father. The Tsukiji Uogashi Sandaime film earned the equivalent of US$471,974 in 259 theaters to land at #6 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's rankings and #7 on Box Office Mojo's chart.
