New York Anime Festival to Host Art Contest

Winner to receive every manga Del Rey will publish in 2008
Del Rey Manga and TheOtaku.com will be sponsoring an art contest at this year's New York Anime Fest. Participants are invited to create original art works on the theme of "winter." The sponsors will select fifteen finalists for display at the festival. NYAF attendees will then vote to decide the winner of the contest and the second and third-place contestants. Del Rey will send the grand prize winner a copy of every manga it will publish throughout 2008, while TheOtaku.com will give him or her a copy of their Art of Otaku handbook. The deadline for submitting entries to the contest is October 31, and the full rules are available here. As ANN reported earlier, NYAF will also play host to another TheOtaku.com art contest, this one in cooperation with Go! Comi.
