Japan's Consulate, JETRO to Sponsor Anime Roundtable

Heads of Viz, Bandai Entertainment will discuss marketing to American audiences
The San Francisco Consulate-General of Japan and the Los Angeles office of JETRO, Japan's governmental organization for fostering business relationships with foreign countries, are sponsoring a roundtable discussion on the business aspects of anime in the United States. "The Anime and Manga Business: Mass-marketing Pop Culture" will be held on Wednesday, September 12 in San Francisco, at the Japan Society of Northern California. Participating speakers will include Viz Media founder Seiji Horibuchi, Viz marketing vice president Liza Coppola, Bandai Entertainment CEO Ken Iyadomi, and Yuki Machida, JETRO's program manager for its Entertainment Platform of Japan initiative. Tickets for this event can be purchased through the Japan Society website.
