Captain Baseball Manga Goes Live-Action in August

After spawning an anime television series and movie, the 1972-1979 Captain Monthly Shonen Jump coming-of-age manga returns this August as a live-action movie. The 13-million-copy-selling manga is famous even among non-baseball-manga readers since Seattle Mariners center fielder Ichiro Suzuki is a professed fan who read it dozens of times during elementary school. Machine Robo: Revenge of Chronos scriptwriter and Gun Crazy director Atsushi Muroga directs Toshiyuki Fuse, a 15-year-old real-life star pitcher casted from 3000 hopefuls. Source: Goo
