ANN Staff Opening: Video Game Critic

ANN is seeking a professional, hardworking video game critic to review games either directly related to anime and manga properties or are of specific interest to anime and manga fans (including Japanese RPGs like Final Fantasy or anime-style games like Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney). Applicants must be willing to commit to no fewer than 2 game reviews per month, at an approximate length of 1500 words. This is a paid position.
Ideal Qualifications:
- 2 or more years experience writing game content for non-anime publications (freelance or otherwise)
- Established contacts within the video game industry
- Working knowledge of anime games and games that appeal to anime fans
- Personal interest in anime games or games that appeal to anime fans
- Access to most, if not all, major game consoles
Please submit two sample game reviews of your choice with your application. In addition to the sample reviews, please tell us a bit about yourself, particularly why you are interested in the position and any qualifications you have. Candidates must be residents of the United States or Canada, residents of the United States are preferred.
Candidates who are chosen for consideration will then be asked to submit a number of specific game reviews on a schedule.

- All files must be sent in one of the following formats: pure text, MS Word or HTML;
- Both submissions must be sent in together;
- Submissions are due by January 16th;
