20,000 Votes Counted For Fan Picked VA
Central Park Media has announced that Rebecca Soler has been chosen as the voice of Battia in their upcoming re-dub of Outlanders.
For the 20th Anniversary of Outlanders CPM had announced that they would be releasing the classic anime on DVD for the first time, with a new dub. The main cast of the new dub was to be chosen by a fan ballot, CPM had professional voice-actors from their regular talent pool audition for the parts. CPM placed the audition recordings online and allowed fans to vote for their preferred actors.
According to CPM over 20,000 people voted, and the first results have been announced.
The remaining three parts willbe announced in the coming months between now and the release of the DVD.
Outlanders was originally dubbed into English by Animaze for LA Hero (Now Manga Entertainment) and released on VHS in 1993.
