Daily Yomiuri 130th Anniversary Contest
Japanese Newspaper Daily Yomiuri is running a contest to celebrate their 130th anniversary.
Hayao Miyazaki has created a mascot for the newspaper, but the task of naming the mascot is being given to Yomiuri's readers via a contest. The contest winner will not only get the honor and privilege of naming a character created by Hayao Miyazaki, but they will also receive 1.3 Million Yen (US$12500 approx.) and a special souvenir trophy.
The contest is only open to residents of Japan.
